Territory Warfare is the ability to hack a Territory Unit and take over a territory. This is done by using the Territory Hacking Unit tool on a visible Territory Unit. Territory hacking can only be done if you own an adjacent territory to the one you are trying to hack and claim.
The Territory Hacking Unit can be used on Aresion ONLY and allows players to hack and take over territory units of other players.
Hacking can take place 12 hours after a territory has been deployed (for the first time) to give the owner a chance to protect it
Territory Units can immediately be hacked back if they have been taken over from somebody else
Hacking a Territory Unit will take 5 minutes, with a notification shown to the hacker every minute until it is completed
Countering a hack immediately removes the hacking progress and notifies the hacker
Any territory tax is transferred to the new owner upon successful hack
Attempts to glitch through constructs to get to Territory Units will result in a ban if reported to 🆘・support

On 27th June, we released an update to Base Shields which enables them to protect your constructs AND any ships that are parked inside the shield. For those unfamiliar with the base shield mechanics - a base shield must be placed into lockdown (by doing 50% of the base shield damage) which starts a 24 hour timer before your construct can be attacked again. After the remaining 50% damage is done, your construct and ships are vulnerable and can be attacked and stolen. This is the best method of protecting your constructs.
Most mining rigs and bases today contain little to no voxel which means that elements can directly be attacked without protection. By shielding your elements, you can give them some time before being destroyed.
If you have no interest in PVP or defending your territory warfare planet outposts, it may be a good idea to pack up and head somewhere safe. Whilst we don’t anticipate mass-attacks, players might want to loot your mining gains.
